Tracking technology helps us manage and improve the usability of the SIPC Website, for example by detecting whether there has been any prior contact between your computer and us and to identify the most popular sections of the SIPC Website.

This website may use a technology called a "cookie.” A cookie is a small data file that a website can place on your computer’s hard drive, where your browser files are kept. A cookie saves you the trouble of reentering certain information in some registration areas because cookies can be used to enable a website to “remember” information a visitor has previously inputted. A cookie also helps deliver content specific information to you and track how areas of the website are used. With most browsers you can change your browser settings to remove cookies from your computer hard drive, block cookies, or receive a warning before a cookie is stored. Please check your browser instructions for more information about these functions. If you reject cookies, the functionality of the website may be limited, and you may not be able to take advantage of many of the website's features.

When you save your cookie settings, they should also apply to your future visits to the SIPC Website. However, for technical reasons beyond SIPC ’s control, this cannot be guaranteed. For example, if you reset your browser, delete your cookies, or access the SIPC Website from another browser or device, your cookie settings may be lost. To comply with applicable laws and regulations, you may be asked to confirm your cookie settings when you first visit the SIPC Website. If you are in a country where you are automatically required to set your cookie settings, you may be asked to set them again on a future visit.
